“I was high, pressed record on my phone and started blurting out lyrics. I crafted this song a little bit after the first take, but it was finished in about 20 minutes and maybe that’s apparent… However, it turned out to be one of my favorite songs off the live LP because of its energy and weird lyrics. They’re not really about anything and that gives the lister a lot of room for interpretation. This is one of a few songs I was able to write while high, so I’m not recommending it, but it did help me to clear my mind, not judge my song in that moment, and get out of my own way so everything could come out. ”
lyrics
Watch them scrounge for the sound
Picking flowers and shooting stars
An eerie place where the grown-ups wear and tear to save face
Where no one’s children search for the sound
To replace their lost hearts and find a place that they call home
Call home
Call home
Call home
Call home
Call home
Where the creeps and the ghouls find themselves selfishly
Where spiders crawl on two legs and move as distant friends
We can find a happy space and I’ll start living before my mind goes away
I can always find a place that you can call home
Call home
Call home
Call home
Call home
Call home
Call home
Call home
Call home
Call home
Call home
Call home
Call home
Call home
Call home
Call home
